On August 27th, 2024, my brother Joey Smario was in a swimming accident that left his body paralyzed. His spine was compressed and he required emergency Lumbar Decompression Surgery. Currently, he is in ICU for the injuries he sustained. He has a long road to recovery and a long journey ahead.
