My name is Kim, and I'm starting this fundraiser for my friend, Joseph Ponte. Joe was diagnosed with stage four bladder cancer. Joe never imagined his life would take this turn. He is 58 years old, married, and the proud parent of a son who is currently in college. He has worked long and hard for his entire life to provide for his family.

In 2018, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and after treatments, he was told the cancer was cured. However, in November of 2024, after experiencing ongoing medical issues that were repeatedly dismissed as infections, undergoing multiple medical visits, procedures, and tests, he sought a second opinion and at the end of 2025 was diagnosed with stage four bladder cancer. His bladder, prostate, and a section of his bowel had to be removed, which was a life-altering surgery. He will have chemo and radiation as well because not all the cancer could be removed from his pelvic region. He has had two more surgeries due to complications from the previous surgery.

Joe has always worked hard to make sure his family was taken care of, and where he is no longer receiving a paycheck, his wife is their only source of income, and the bills are just piling up. Any help we can give them to ease their burden so Joe can focus on healing would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.
