Hi everyone,

We are Joe Jacovino’s daughters, and we’re starting this fundraiser on behalf of our dad.

For those who know Joe, you know he is not someone who would ever ask for help easily. He has spent his life working hard, taking care of his family, helping his customers, and showing up for the people around him. But right now, he needs his community behind him.

Our dad has lived in Connecticut his entire life. He grew up in Trumbull and later made Monroe his home, where he and our mom raised their three daughters.

Joe is the ultimate girl dad. He has always been our biggest supporter, the person we can always count on, and truly one of our best friends. He has spent his life working incredibly hard to provide for our family, but somehow he was still always there. He showed up for the games, concerts, graduations, milestones, and all the everyday moments in between.

Now, he is also an amazing grandpa to his 2-year-old grandson, CJ, and his two grandpups, Cooper and Rosie. He loves spending time with his family, watching sports, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and following soccer, especially the Spurs. If you know Joe, you know family and sports are two of the biggest parts of his life.

For more than 40 years, our dad has been the guy people call when something in their home needs fixing. Through Jacovino Home Repair Services, he has helped families and businesses across Connecticut with plumbing, heating, repairs, renovations, and all the little jobs that never feel little when they’re happening in your own home. He takes pride in doing things the right way, treating people fairly, and making sure his customers feel taken care of. To so many people, Joe isn’t just “the plumber.” He’s the person they trust to show up, figure it out, and help.

He has also been a big part of the Monroe community outside of work. Over the years, Joe coached little league baseball and soccer, served as an AYSO commissioner, and spent time on the board. He helped create the kind of community so many families, including ours, were lucky to grow up in.

Recently, our dad found out that he has a CSF leak, also known as a cerebrospinal fluid leak, and needs surgery to repair it. To get the care he needs, he will be traveling to St. Louis for surgery in August. While we are hopeful and focused on getting him through this safely, the surgery, travel, and recovery will keep him out of work for several months.

Because Joe is self-employed, he is not eligible for CT Paid Leave or other state income-replacement programs. That means he will be without income while he recovers, on top of the medical, travel, and everyday expenses that come with a major surgery.

We are hoping to raise money to help cover his basic living expenses, household bills, medical-related costs, travel expenses, and loss of income while he is unable to work. Our goal is to give him the space to focus fully on healing without the added burden of worrying about how to keep up financially.

Our dad has given so much to his family, his customers, and the community over the years. Now we are asking that same community to help give back to him during a really difficult time.

Any donation, no matter the amount, would mean so much to our family. If you are not able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would also be incredibly helpful.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Joe and helping him through his surgery and recovery.

With love and gratitude,
Jessica, Stephanie & Jennifer
