Joe Hopson has devoted his life to serving others. He’s a lifelong public servant — first as an EMT, then as a firefighter, and now as the Assistant Chief of the Jellico Police Department. His commitment to his community has touched countless lives.
Recently, Joe was diagnosed with cancer. He will undergo surgery to remove the cancerous tissue, followed by chemotherapy. While he is focused on healing, he faces a very real challenge: the inability to work as he recovers, and mounting costs associated with treatment, travel, and care.
We want to show our appreciation for Joe by helping him while he fights cancer with:
- Lost income: During surgery and chemo, Joe will not be able to work, putting strain on his finances.
- Treatment expenses: Beyond medical costs, there will be transportation to and from treatment, lodging (if needed), and other related expenses.
- Support for recovery: Funds will help Joe focus solely on getting better, without the added stress of financial hardship.
Funds will help Joe focus solely on getting better, without the added stress of financial hardship.
Every dollar donated will go toward:
Medical bills not covered by insurance
Transportation costs for treatments
Living expenses while Joe is unable to work
Possible out-of-pocket costs during his recovery
Joe has spent his entire life protecting and helping others. Now, he needs our help. By supporting this campaign, we have a chance to give back to someone who has given so much to his community.
Any donation—big or small—makes a difference. If you can’t give right now, sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and community means the world. We’ll keep you updated on Joe’s progress and how your support is helping every step of the way.
