Eric is raising this fundraiser for his friend Joe, a lifelong Clippers fan who has supported the team since he was a kid and has been a season ticket holder since 2001. Recently, Joe suddenly passed out from an illness after his blood pressure dropped, and in the fall he severely twisted and broke his ankle. The injury was serious enough to require surgery, including multiple bone screws and a plate. Joe’s doctor has told him that he may not be able to walk for three or four months, which means he cannot work during this time to support himself and his family.

This has been an especially heavy burden because Joe is not only a parent to two teenage children, but also helps care for his elderly grandparents. His grandmother had only recently come home from the ICU before Joe became sick and suffered this injury himself. On top of the physical pain, the loss of independence has also taken an emotional toll and caused depression from not being able to take care of himself the way he normally would. How funds will help: the support from this fundraiser will go toward living expenses for Joe and his family while he recovers and is unable to work.

Any help for Joe during this difficult time would mean so much. If you are able to give, please consider supporting him and his family as they get through the months ahead. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Joe in your thoughts would also be deeply appreciated.
