Help Joe Destefano Fight For His Life

I’ve known Joe Destafano since we were kids playing in a sandlot. He has always been a stand-up guy-

Someone who would go out of his way to check on you if he saw you in need. Over the years Joe has been like an uncle to my children, always stepping in to help whether it was something big or small. That’s just the kind of person: Joe is generous, loyal, and selfless.

For those who know him, you know that Joe has touched countless lives with his kindness. He’s the first person to lend a hand when someone is in a jam. Joe was wild in his youth, but if you were lucky enough to be in his circle, you could count on him to stand by you. Now Joe needs our help.

For the past three years, Joe has been battling a rare disease called light chain, deposition, and myeloma, which is attacking his kidneys and immune system. On top of that he has undergone extensive medical procedures, including having 12 stents placed in his heart. Joe also suffers from painful neuropathy in his feet. Despite all this, he continues to fight and endure unimaginable pain.

Joe is now preparing for a bone marrow transplant and essential step in his fight for survival. However, the financial burden has become overwhelming. His medical bills are through the roof and the cost of living expenses - rent, insurance, utilities, food are barely covered by his monthly disability payments. The truth is Joe is struggling to make ends meet.

We’ve set up a GoFundMe to help Joe pay his medical bills and live in expenses while he focuses on his health. Every dollar raise will go directly to Joe to cover these costs. together, we can make a difference for someone who has always been there for others.
