Support Joe Coombs' Fight Against Cancer

We know that life throws all of us curve balls and some of us are blessed with more resources than others. None of us really know what the future holds and what's around the next corner. So, in light of what has unfolded for a dear friend of ours, we are asking for help.

If you have ever met Joe Coombs, you know that he is the type of person to lend a hand where one is needed. Over the years I have seen Joe jump in to help when help was needed with many of his friends and employers. He always goes above and beyond!

Joe has been recently diagnosed with Colon Cancer; it has also metastasized in his lymph nodes. He is going to need chemo, radiation and surgery. Also, in June he was in an automobile accident. A drunk driver T-boned him and the seatbelt tore some ligaments in his shoulder. This can’t be fixed until his cancer is taken care of, because he needs all of his strength to fight the cancer in his body.

Unfortunately for Joe this means time a significant time off work, we are anticipating at least a year off for him. This is going to be a huge burden on Nicole as she tries to make ends meet on a single income while taking care of Joe and their two kids.

As a family their goals are to make sure that the kids still can do the sporting events they love and keep a roof over their heads. Billy age 7 and Clara age 9 steal everyone’s hearts they meet with their big personalities! They both are highly into baseball/softball. Clara is into wrestling and martial arts!

The family has started to liquidate assets that aren't needed and there might be a settlement from the accident however they may not see the funds for months or even a few years. Unfortunately, the expense of living can't wait that long.

We are hoping to raise enough money to pay Rent and give the family a little breathing room for the family for 9 to 12 months. This would greatly help the family be able to live as normal a lifestyle as possible during the journey.

Goal $18,000 ($1,500 per month allocated to rent, utilities and a bit of staples for the pantry).
