Hurricane Helene Relief for Spruce Pine, NC

Hurricane Helene struck western North Carolina with devastating force, leaving much of the region in ruins. The Category 4 storm, with wind speeds exceeding 100 mph, caused widespread destruction—uprooting trees, tearing apart highways, completely destroying many homes, and leaving streets and bridges impassable. Many residents are without essential supplies, and it may take weeks before power, water, or internet is restored. Major roads in and out of the area have been severely compromised, with some completely destroyed.

I’m organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Joe, and his wife, Nichole, specifically to support the residents of Spruce Pine, NC. Joe and Nichole have called Spruce Pine home for the past four years and recently opened Mineral City Yoga on Altapass Highway, just outside of downtown SP. Thankfully, their home and business were mostly spared, aside from a few downed trees and debris damage. However, much of the community wasn’t as fortunate, and they need our help.

I’ve only been able to speak with Joe and Nichole once since Thursday night, apart from a few satellite SOS messages letting us know they're okay. From his words, the situation in Spruce Pine is dire, and I’m asking for your help to support their recovery. Thankfully, they have found an area where they can go for cell service in a nearby town to call us for status updates.
