My laid back, long-haired, smooth 70's Trans Am of a Dad, Mr. Joe Alberto Alaniz has been my artistic role model and mentor for all things vinyl, model rockets, photography, and classic rock. A purveyor of the coolest hobbies, an audiophile, and my biggest influence in music, arts, and creativity, his talents truly know no bounds and passion for imagination were nothing short of inspiring to me growing up.
On August 28th, 2024 he was originally scheduled for a double bypass operation, but will now be needing a full quadruple bypass open heart surgery and valve replacement. His calcium levels are astronomical, and with impending and frustrating arthritis, it's making the career of art installation he loves a difficult struggle. He was a pillar in the fine art framing industry for well over 20 years and became a master in his craft. I trust that this procedure will give him the relief he deserves and a boost to continue the profession that he loves.
With all that said, his recovery time will be about 8 weeks or more, and of course the bills will keep on keepin' on. And as we all occasionally encounter a domino effect of challenges, his only vehicle and beloved Ford truck passed down from my Grandfather is on its last leg. So of course, the rain sometimes pours, and it will also add another expense to the list, but I am convinced that there's always hope and a solution somehow...
I appreciate your time and taking a moment with me to proudly share some insight into my Father’s upcoming hurdle. I’m faithful that we can rally friends and loved ones as I humbly reach out to help support my beautiful family, and my main man in this next chapter of his life as he ages with strength, grace and class. Donations aren’t always possible, so please feel free to share this, because sometimes encouragement and strength is every bit as good as gold.
Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for anything that you may be able to spare, and any helping hand for an amazing man and my best friend, my Father. I am forever in your debt always.
Love, Chris.
