Hello, my name is Bob Bennington and I am starting this GoFundMe for my girlfriend, Jody Webster, the love of my life. Jody recently became ill and, after a visit to the ER, was diagnosed with primary lung cancer with metastasis, pulmonary embolism, collapsed lung, malignant pleural effusion, hyponatremia, acute hypoxic respiratory failure, aortic regurgitation, and embolic stroke. This news has been incredibly difficult for both of us, and we are now facing a challenging road ahead.
Jody has dedicated over 30 years to the I.A.T.S.E. INTERNATIONAL ALLIANCE OF THEATRICAL STAGE EMPLOYEES, serving as a member of Locals #69, 85, and 193. She is a vital part of these communities, having worked as a spot op, lighting technician, down rigger, video hand, audio hand, props, wardrobe, and carpenter hand. Her experience has taken her to theaters, arenas, outdoor worksites, and even political campaigns. Jody is always eager to teach others, and if she doesn't know the answer, she will find it for you. As a mother of two, she has a nurturing spirit and is always ready to help anyone in need. She is loved by many, from local hands to production teams.
Jody has agreed to fight. She has been a smoker for over 30 years, but now she has completely quit due to not being able to breathe. That's another foot in the right direction. She is also asking for help, which is a great step forward. I have also agreed to quit smoking to make things easier on her.
We are asking for your support to help cover medical bills, medical equipment, household expenses, food, supplies, and other essentials as Jody begins her fight against cancer and these serious health challenges. Your generosity will make a real difference in her life and help ease the burden during this difficult time. Thank you for considering a donation and for sharing this fundraiser with others who may be able to help.
