As many of you know, on March 6, 2023, Jodi had a stroke. This has had lasting impacts on her mobility and her ability to use her right side. The medical care she received during her initial hospitalization also uncovered new health issues including diabetes, high blood pressure, and vision problems. Over the past 3 months, she has been adapting to the new realities of surviving a stroke and living with chronic health issues. Recovering has been her full-time job.

The financial toll of recovery has been a constant worry for Jodi. The medical bills have made a significant dent on her finances. As a freelancer, if she can’t work, she doesn’t get paid. Between her affected right side and vision problems, working on the computer is challenging.
