My name is Deb Taft Ambrozaitis. My dear friend is in need once again because of her newest horrendous infection. I am pretty sure you remember Jodi that myself, my son and several of you helped. Jodi has been through open heart surgery, amputation of half of her foot and amputation of many toes. She is pretty much w/c bound now. She has very bad Vascular disease, Diabetes and gets horrible infections. Recently in the middle of the blizzard Cape Cod received She was in excruciating pain, low blood pressure and needed to call 911. The absolutely amazing first responders got her to the rescue squad by getting her there by sled. Once at the hospital they were going to release her until she asked about the horrifying sore actually hole on her heal, they immediately jumped into action realizing the severity of it...they did everything possible and so as not amputate her foot. She truly is a beautiful lady who loves hard and wants to return to work. I give her so much credit for her fighting spirit. Her husband is also in the hospital because of his disabilities do to his diabetes. He has also had his toes amputated and got a nasty infection. Do to Jodi being disabled yet trying so hard she has been unable to keep up with her home. Also because of the blizzard and a huge tree falling across their driveway and pulling the electrical box off their home, there was no electric for several days until the electrician could come. I have asked her to do an Amazon wish list. The following are immediate and ongoing needs so she can come home. My son has been going to their home every other day to give her fur babies love and food. I have done some cleaning with a friend however it needs more. I know this before a HHA will be assigned. The following is her needs, I will post her Amazon wish list later. I will have everything dropped off or delivered to me. She is not able to get out to get the deliveries. Currently Jodi has been discharged from the hospital to a
re hab. Her husband will continue to be in the hospital for at least 10 more days, I do not know at this point if he will need to go to a re hab. Thank you in advance! Please if you are not able to help please share. They do not qualify for SNAP benefits or any other State help.

The following is what Jodi just sent me when I asked her

I’m not sure if I will ever really walk again. Wheelchair stuck for the foreseeable future. I don't know what to do. Now that we are both sick I have used all of our resources up. I need to be on a very strict diet.
I do really need a cushion for my lift chair. I just do not know what to say, I am very worried and overwhelmed

In closing I want to tell you all she is an amazing lady. When she wasn't ill she was a go getter and was a manager of several stores. She would give the shirt off her back, at this point she truly needs help, and is mortified to be in this position again.
