Support Jodie’s long term care and stroke recovery.

On June 20, 2025 our mother, Joanne Diaz, suffered a massive stroke along with a brain bleed and clot simultaneously. Jodie has undergone multiple procedures including two brain surgeries to eliminate the brain bleed and clot. While the surgeries were successful and recovery is going wonderfully,
Jodie has a long and challenging journey ahead of her.
Jodie has been a nurse for over 30 years and has dedicated her personal and professional life to the care and service of others. If you’ve ever had the pleasure of experiencing Jodie’s love and friendship you know exactly how selfless and compassionate she is.
As Jodie and her family navigate this difficult time we thank you for any help, prayers or kind thoughts you are able to give as we prepare for the long term care Jodie needs.
Many stroke cases do not consider a baseline until one year after the initial incident. After that year an evaluation on the extent of damage and the trajectory for growth can be better determined.
We have only just begun this healing journey and have many more months to go. Hospital stays, physical therapy/rehabilitation, MRI’s and CT scans are a few things deemed necessary for recovery.
Any help you are able to give will be graciously welcomed as we are now able to pour love into Jodie and care for her the way she has done for so many others over the years. Your help makes this possible.
With Many Thanks,
~Jodies Children~
