In September of last year, Jodie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach and Bone cancer. She has been undergoing chemo treatments since then but has recently been admitted to a rehab facility in Sandwich with some mobility issues. In order for her to come home, she needs a handicap accessible entrance. They've gotten a quote for about $7,500 but she also needs a bed, scooter and some other small items to make life easier at home. Her insurance deductible also reset at the beginning of the year which is an additional $7,400 they will need to pay as well.
