Support Jodie Steiner's Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Hey everyone,
I am reaching out because my cousin, Jodie Steiner, is facing a challenging time due to Metastatic Breast Cancer, and her family needs support. The breast cancer is in her right breast, lymph nodes, spine, and has most recently been discovered to spread to her liver.
Resiliency is one of many descriptors of the Chaun and Jodie Steiner family. When their sons were diagnosed at birth with Neurofibromatosis, type 1, Jodie and Chaun were unabashed advocates. As a result of their NF, Braeden and Bronson grew up battling optic glioma brain tumors, going through multiple chemotherapy infusions over the years. Their tumors are currently stable and monitored yearly.
Bronson, (18) is headed to his first year at Bowling Green University while Braeden (20) is finishing an Engineering degree at Toledo University. While the family is celebrating these accomplishments, Jodie (mom) is fighting the fight of her life.
Medical bills are adding up, and any contribution would make a huge difference in easing their burden during this difficult time. Right now, the family has only one working car. All 4 family members need rides to work/school. The boys will need to get to and from college and Jodie needs safe, reliable transportation to her medical appointments.
Jodie has had several medical disappointments along this breast cancer journey but still holds faith. Since confirmation of the tumors on the liver, she has opted to receive weekly/bi-weekly 5-6 hour chemotherapy infusions. We hope and pray to see those tumors shrink and your prayers and positive thoughts are needed!
Jodie and Chaun have always been the first to offer help to many in the Neurofibromatosis community as well as to anyone else needing their help and care. Chaun has spent hours researching treatments for the boys and served as the chair of several not-for-profit Board of Directors. Jodie helps many children with developmental/intellectual disabilities as an Occupational Therapy Assistant. We all know how difficult it can be to ask for help, so let's come together and offer support to an ever-deserving, resilient family.
If you can help in any way, whether it's through a donation or simply sharing this message, it would mean the world to us.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity.
