Jodi E. Loomis age 60 of Dixon passed away on Tuesday Feb. 25, 2025 at OSF St. Katharine Medical Center in Dixon. He was born on June 16, 1964 in Mendota, IL the son of Larry and Lutitia (Lauts) Loomis. Jodi was a Ferrier in the area for many years, was a delivery driver for Oregon Pharmacy, and a musician with the band Rout 38. He enjoyed being outdoors and riding dirt bikes. Jodi married DeAnn Johnson Bonnewell on Aug. 8, 2020 in Dixon. He is preceded in death by his father and son Cody Loomis. Jodi is survived by his wife DeAnn, 4 sons, 1 step daughter, 4 grandchildren, his mother Lutitia, siblings Rusty (Tammy) Loomis, Robbie Loomis, Dena Loomis, Shawn (Megan) Loomis, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Friday Feb. 28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy with private burial to follow at Woodside Cemetery in Lee Center. A memorial has been established to the family. Arrangements by the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy.

Last week, we were hit with a huge hurdle in our lives. Today Jodi was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell lung cancer. We are in the midst of diagnosis and treatment. We both have lost wages and we are struggling financially. Please have a heart and donate to get us through this difficult time in our lives.
