I am writing to share the heartbreaking story of our dear colleague and friend, Jodi Lahmers, who recently experienced a devastating house fire. On Thursday May 23, 2024, Jodi and her family lost most of their home and belongings in a tragic fire. Fortunately, the family and dog escaped unharmed, but now they face the daunting task of rebuilding their home.

Jodi Lahmers is a dedicated clinical coordinator/assistant professor in the respiratory care program at Stark State College and a beloved member of our community. She has always been the first to lend a helping hand, provide support, and bring positivity to everyone around her. Now, it’s our turn to support Jodi and her family in their time of need.

The Impact of the Fire

The fire destroyed much of the home, reducing many of their possessions to ashes. The loss includes essential items such as clothing, furniture, and personal mementos. The emotional and financial toll of this disaster is overwhelming, and Jodi and her family need our help to begin the process of recovery.
