Update. ❤️
I don’t even know how to say thank you in a way that feels big enough. In just a little over 24 hours, you all helped raise over $10,000. That kind of support is humbling, incredible, and honestly a little overwhelming in the best way. We are so grateful for every single person who donated, shared, or even just sent a kind message.
Jodi is taking things one day at a time and doing the best she can as she works through everything. Yesterday she got a much-needed bright spot: one of her barn cats showed up safe and totally unhurt. That small win meant more than you can imagine.
Thank you all for lifting her up when she needs it most. Your kindness is making a real difference, and we can’t say it enough, we’re grateful for every one of you.
STORY:
On the afternoon of December 3, Jodi received the call every horse owner fears: “Your barn is on fire.”
In a matter of moments, her world changed forever.
The fire claimed five of her beloved horses, along with her hay, grain, tack, truck, trailer, and nearly every piece of equipment she relied on. The loss is unimaginable.
I’ve known Jodi for 15 years, and we’ve worked side-by-side at the same equine veterinary hospital for 13 of those years. Anyone who knows her understands how deeply she loves her horses. They are her heart, her family, and the center of her everyday life.
While nothing can ease the heartbreak of losing the horses she cherished, we can help lessen the overwhelming financial burden now placed on her as she continues caring for the horses that survived. She lost everything, including all of her winter hay, and will be facing significant expenses simply to meet their basic needs and begin rebuilding.
Our goal is to help Jodi pick up the pieces, support the horses still with her, and begin moving forward after this devastating tragedy. Any amount, big or small, will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for helping us support someone who has dedicated her life to caring for horses and the people who love them.
