On March 28, 2026, she was hospitalized after becoming very ill, just as she was starting manager training at a local restaurant. Her body fought hard to overcome a severe infection, but ultimately, she needed two surgeries to help her recover. The process has been slow and difficult, and we still don’t know how long she will need to stay in the hospital. Jocelyn hasn’t received a paycheck and isn’t due one in the next pay period, which has added to her worries. With a recovery time estimated at 6 to 8 weeks, she’s scared she may lose her living arrangements and is anxious about not having funds to cover her basic needs.
