My name is Jocelyn Calip and I aspire to improve nutritional health in the Alamance County community as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN)!!!
According to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, in order to become a RDN, one must:
1) Complete a bachelor's degree in a program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) [Completed-UNCG BS in Nutrition and Dietetics]
2) Complete an ACEND accredited supervised practice internship program [Completed-Keith and Associates Distance Dietetic Internship (KADDI)]
3) Attain a graduate degree [Completed-Fayetteville State Univeristy MBA-Entreprenuership, Graduate Certificate in Project Management]
4) Pass the national registration exam administered by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR) [$325 for 2 test attempts]
5) Attain State Licensure in NC and VA [$250+]
I've FINALLY made it to the last step of my journey to becoming a Registered Dietitian: taking the registration exam and becoming licensed.
I'm raising money to cover the cost for my exam and to gain state licensure. The exam can cost up to $250 for one attempt, but there is a bundle savings voucher to have 2 attempts for $325. With the difficulty of the exam and a 61% first time pass rate, I would like to get the 2 attempt bundle as a back up in case I need to retake it.
I am planning to become licensed in both NC and Virginia in order to expand my nutritional scope of practice. Each state has their own state licensure requirements and costs. It will cost about $250 to become licensed in the state of NC.
Your financial support will help me move faster along concluding my RD journey!!! I appreciate your time, donations, and passing my fundraiser along to others that you feel may also be willing to donate.
Thank you so much!!!!
