On March 28th, our lives changed in an instant. My husband, Job Hernandez, was pulled over by a state trooper who alleged reckless driving as if he were “intoxicated”. During the stop, Job was immediately asked to step out of the vehicle and provide identification. He was not asked if he had been drinking, nor was he given a breathalyzer or field sobriety test. Shortly after, he was detained, and within minutes, ICE agents arrived and took him into custody.
Job is only 18 years old. He is a dedicated student at Comfort High School, where he has worked hard to build a bright future. He is a proud member of the National Honor Society, serves as a Student Ambassador representing his school to families and the community, and has been elected class president for two years. These roles reflect his character—he is driven, respectful, and deeply committed to making a positive impact.
Job is not defined by this moment. He is a young man with goals, dreams, and a strong desire to complete his education and continue contributing to his community in meaningful ways. This situation has placed an unexpected emotional and financial burden on our family as we work to navigate the legal process and fight for his future.
We are asking for your support during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help us cover legal expenses and provide stability as we work toward bringing Job home and allowing him to continue his education and the life he has worked so hard to build.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, and for standing with us.
