Hi, my name is Joaquin Rivera, and I’m a Covid-19 survivor. My journey has been incredibly challenging—I was hospitalized for almost three months, experienced cardiac arrest twice, and now live with pulmonary fibrosis and other ongoing medical issues. On top of that, I am a stroke survivor and a right foot amputee. Right now, I am undergoing extensive testing for a possible double lung transplant, which is both physically and emotionally overwhelming.
The medical bills from my hospital stays, treatments, and ongoing appointments are piling up. I am currently on social security disability, but I am having trouble getting my full benefits from the Social Security Administration. This has made it even more difficult to keep up with the costs of my care, medications, and daily living expenses. Every day is a new challenge, and I am struggling to deal with my health issues, but I am hoping that things will improve. I am determined to keep fighting and work toward recovery.
I am reaching out for help because I cannot do this alone. Any support you can offer will go directly toward my medical expenses and help me focus on healing and regaining my quality of life. Your kindness and generosity will make a real difference in my journey, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
