Dear Friends and Family,

I am reaching out to ask for your support during a challenging time for my family. My name is Joaquin Mendoza on June 18th I recently suffered a severe infection that spread throughout my body, resulting in a significant complication – a tunnel or hole in my colon. This required an emergency surgery to drain the infection, and I still have drains in place for ongoing treatment. I also have open wounds throughout my body that will require surgery as well. I know fun times right?. However I have not lost faith that my God is good and healing will come.

Due to my condition, my mom, Ana Alvarado, has had to take a leave of absence from work to care for me. She has always been my rock, offering unwavering support throughout my life, and continues to do so now, despite her own challenges. She has been my #1 supporter throughout my childhood, my Education, my sports, she has never left my side. Not just for me but for all my siblings as well. ASK ANYONE AT THE GAMES lol she is the loudest one out there cheering us on. I could not have been more blessed in this life to call her my mom and I can't thank her enough for everything she is doing for me.

We are facing considerable travel expenses to attend necessary medical appointments and to manage my ongoing care. My mom never asks for help and she never will because she has always found a way to be there for me and my family but now I find myself in need of just a little bit more support.

Any contribution you can make will go directly towards covering travel costs and other expenses related to my treatment. Your generosity would greatly alleviate some of the stress my medical condition has caused during this difficult time and allow my mom to focus on my recovery without added financial worries.
