Hi, my name is Geoffrey Tongawan and this would be the third time we knock on your doors.
Today, I am again reaching out to you with a heavy heart to share the challenging journey that my sister, Joan, is currently facing. It was in December when she received the devastating news that her breast cancer has metastasized to her brain. She underwent a brain surgery and since then she has continuously recovering at home.
Five days ago (17 May 2024) she was again rushed to the hospital due to her anaemia and required blood transfusion, however, during the course of this hospitalization, her level of consciousness dropped and wasn’t responding. She was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit and currently on a breathing machine to help her protect her airway until her level of consciousness improves. Until now it’s unknown as to why her level of consciousness dropped.
My sister has always been a pillar of strength, but this unexpected turn of events has taken a toll on her both emotionally and physically. Being a single mother of Xian (15) and Paris (4), she has not worked since her diagnosis and as we rally around her during this difficult time, we are reaching out to our community again for financial help
Unfortunately, the financial burden has become a daunting challenge for her and our family. That's why I’ve decided to start again this GoFundMe campaign to help with the financial stress we are facing.
Your generosity can make a significant impact on my sister’s journey to recovery. Whether it's a small contribution or sharing this campaign within your network, every gesture counts. Together, we can provide the support she needs to face this battle head-on.
All the funds collected in this campaign will proceed towards their everyday bills such as food, rent, utilities and needs of her young children.
Your kindness will not only provide financial assistance but will also serve as a source of hope and strength for my sister and our family.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and for considering support for Joan. Your thoughts, prayers, and contributions mean the world to us during this challenging time.
