Joanne, my neighbor, was first diagnosed with upper right lung cancer in 2022. She bravely faced her treatments and continued to be a caring presence in our community. Unfortunately, in late February of this year, we learned that her cancer had returned in her left lung and has now spread to her skull and ribs. This news has been devastating for Joanne and everyone who cares about her.
Joanne will need to undergo daily radiation and chemotherapy treatments at the Pratt Cancer Center, which means a lot of commuting back and forth. On top of the physical and emotional toll, she is also facing several large medical bills, which is already a major stressor for her. Joanne lives on her own and has a limited income, making this journey even more challenging.
Any support you can give—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this fundraiser—would mean so much. Joanne is facing a difficult journey, and your kindness can help ease her stress and show her she’s not alone. She’s always been there for me and supported me when I’ve needed her, and now I hope we can come together to support her in return.
