Hi,
My name is Joanne.
I am a transgender woman living north of Pittsburgh, PA. I live with my spouse Lori and our fur baby Zoey. Both of us are on Social Security/Disability, Lori being a 2 time cancer survivor, diabetic, and myself being a stroke survivor, with heart and vascular problems. Due to these numerous health issues, we are unable to hold down even a part-time jobs.
Since COVID and the resulting inflation and rise in interest rates, our fixed income is no longer able to cover our mortgage costs, which have more than doubled since we initially purchased the house. Along with that, our other living expenses have increased as well. We have tried various ways to let us keep our home, but we have faced the reality of the situation and are going to concentrate on trying to sell our home before we lose it and move to something more in line with our current income.
Unfortunately, while trying to keep up with utilities, healthcare, and food costs, we are behind on our utility and mortgage payments and close to foreclosure. We also need additional funds to help us get repairs done to allow us to get the house ready for sale. Any help, large or small is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.
