To my family, friends, and those who may or may not know me.

My name is Joanna Talamantes and I have Cervical Cancer & enlarge uterine fibroids requiring me to undergo a full hysterectomy. I’m 41 years old, and a mother of 4 with my youngest being 14 the last to be living at home. They are what keeps me going everyday.

Anyone who knows me, knows I am very private about my life, kids, and relationship. I have always been independent and use to doing everything on my own for my children and myself.

So, please understand how difficult it is and stubborn of me to put my personal business out there today and finally ask for help.

Suffering from Epilepsy, it already limited me from so many life aspects. After several years of different medications, November of 2024, my neurologist had said I was stable!!!

I started working out again. Getting healthy. Started running. By June this year 2025, I was experiencing things with my body that I ignored and thought it was a seizural thing. In the middle of moving in August on our own and my losing my vehicle for mechanical reasons, I had been going through test along with back and forth ER visits.

October, was confirmed to have cervical cancer, very enlarge fibroids that causes so much pain feels like labor flashbacks, on top of already been diagnosed with endometriosis.

November 20,2025 I will be going for a full hysterectomy. Everything came so fast that I’m not fully prepared financially for what’s to come in the next few weeks. Having the support of my daughters and my son coming home from overseas from the Navy that alone I’m grateful!!

Financially I still have co-pay, transportation, bills and house hold things and a daughter to feed. But in the mean time, unfortunately I am having to go through this and ask for financial help.
