On August 8th, my daughter, Joanna Rivera, was taken to the hospital in severe pain, where doctors found a 13.2 cm tumor. With the tumor rupture, she had to undergo emergency surgery. During surgery, surgeons encountered complications. Thankfully, she is now recovering, but it will be a long journey ahead.

Her oncologist, Dr. Eugene Toy, diagnosed her with a rare type of ovarian cancer, and she will begin chemotherapy to prevent further growth. My daughter is a hardworking individual who also helps with the care of my wife, but right now, she needs to focus on healing.
