Joanie’s cancer journey began in the summer of 2025, and by October, she was diagnosed with cancer in the lymph nodes on the right side of her neck. The cancer has grown quickly, and after a delayed start to chemotherapy in January 2026—through no fault of her own—Joanie suffered severe reactions that required immediate hospitalization. As of late January, she is sedated and on respiratory support, with plans for a trachea tube and a feeding tube to help her recover. The cancer continues to grow, restricting her airways and blood flow, but Joanie is not giving up. She is waiting for the urgent medical care she needs, and her loved ones are working tirelessly to get her transferred to a cancer specialty facility where she can receive the best possible treatment. Time is of the essence, and the challenges with the medical system have made this journey even more difficult. 100% of the funds raised will go directly toward Joanie’s medical expenses, from general care to specialized treatments and everything in between. Your support will help cover urgent medical bills and the costs of transferring Joanie to a facility that can provide the care she desperately needs.
