Support Joan in beating Cancer

Hi, I have created this page to help my sister-in-law Joan Sheehan make her journey through Cancer. Joan is originally from Manila in the Philippines. She met her soulmate Patrick and moved to Ireland in 2012 and married Patrick shortly thereafter and settled down in Newcastle West and fell in love with the beauty of Ireland. Joan works for the past 8 years in Limerick University hospital as a Healthcare Assistant with her friendly caring personality she always puts a smile on her patients faces. Joan worked long hours on the frontline right through the pandemic. In June, Joan started experiencing pains in her leg and found a lump. After weeks in hospital with many tests, scans and biopsy’s it was confirmed Joan has a cancerous lipo sarcoma that needs aggressive treatment. She will need to attend more than a month of daily sessions of radiotherapy in St Lukes hospital in Dublin before they can then operate in St Vincents, Dublin. As you can imagine she has a long road ahead and the costs are already mounting up. I would like them to be able to use any money raised here to help with their travelling expenses, accommodation and loss of wages as well as being able to provide Joan with the best care possible. She dedicates her life to helping people in their time of need let's help her in her time of need. Thanks x
