As many of you already know, Jo Ann has been diagnosed with Liver cancer. Since the cancer is covering most of her liver, it is non-operable in surgery, and chemo & Radiation have already been taken off the table, as this type of cancer does not respond to them. She has been hospitalized twice already, and is now getting ready to start into treatment, which will be Systemic Immunotherapy. There are several drugs in this class. Because of Jo Ann’s illness, she has not been able to work for several weeks, and we’re not sure when she will be able to return to work, it all depends on how she feels, and her energy level. May have to come back slowly. So needless to say, this is a huge loss of income for us. She will be able to get temporary disability through her work for a short period of time, which is only a percentage of her normal salary. In addition, all the medical bills that we will be responsible for, the portion that the insurance doesn’t cover. We are looking to our friends, family, and anyone else that would be so inclined, to give us a hand and help us out.
