Mozaic Dance Team is a student organization at James Madison University, and we are raising funds to support our team as we prepare for competitions and our annual showcase, Coalescence.

Mozaic is committed to building a diverse and inclusive environment for all members. As an open style and choreography team, we recognize that we are partaking in Black culture, and we aim to educate our members on the history of Hip-Hop while continuing to resist racism, discrimination, and other forms of stigmatization that have been used to divide and disempower minority communities. Our team always strives to promote diversity and representation, both within our group and through our programming at James Madison University and in the larger dance community.

One of the most meaningful things we do each year is host Coalescence, which we describe as one of the biggest dance showcases on the East Coast. It is one of our favorite things our team does because it brings people in the dance community together and gives them a space to showcase their talent and hard work. Alongside the Coalescence showcase, we also provide dance intensives that help create even more opportunities for connection and learning.

Donations will help us cover the real costs of making these opportunities possible, including paying for choreographers, the DJ, photography for Coalescence, and competition fees for the events our team participates in.

Any donation, no matter the amount, will help Mozaic continue creating opportunities for dancers to grow, perform, and come together in community. If you are able, please support our team and share this fundraiser.
