Our close friend Jose “J.J.” Benavides Jr., 37, recently received a diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer. J.J. is a loving husband and proud father of three beautiful daughters.

On April 10th, he began his fight with a hopeful outlook. A small brain tumor was treated with radiation on April 17th. He is currently receiving care at MD Anderson to prepare for surgery and treatment for tumors in the abdominal and colon areas.

To aid recovery and prepare for immunotherapy, J.J. will first undergo a procedure to place a temporary G tube. His medical team is focused on building his strength and healing his body before the next steps.

As the family's main provider, J.J.'s illness has placed a financial burden on the family. We are raising $5,500 to assist with emergency personal expenses during this challenging time.
