Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out today with heavy hearts to share the news that our beloved 16-year-old nephew, son, brother, and grandson, Justin Hogsett Jr., has been diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL). This is a devastating blow for our family, but we know that with support and hope, we can get through this together.
JJ is an incredible young man, full of life, has the most caring heart, and has always been a joy to everyone around him. His diagnosis came suddenly, and the road ahead will be tough. Treatment for APL will be intense and require extensive care, with frequent hospital stays/visits and medications. As you can imagine, this will take a huge emotional and financial toll on the Hogsett family, especially at this difficult time.
Some may know, JJ’s mother, Jessica, has been dealing with her own health challenges over the past 6 months, as she has been recovering from two carpal tunnel surgeries, with a 3rd surgery scheduled next week. Unfortunately, this has left her unable to return to work, adding even more stress to an already difficult situation. The financial strain has been overwhelming, and now with JJ’s diagnosis, the burden is growing heavier.
We are asking for your help. Any donations, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward medical bills, daily living expenses, and helping JJ get the treatment he so desperately needs. Your kindness will make an enormous difference in their lives as they navigate this challenging journey.
Please keep JJ and our family in your thoughts and prayers. Your support, whether financial or emotional, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to contribute at this time, please consider sharing this campaign with others who may be able to help.
Together, we can help JJ win this fight and give him the strength to overcome this. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support.
With love and gratitude,
Aunt Bri
