Support Jinxy's Care: Help a True Friend Heal
Donation protected
Have you ever been changed so deeply and fundamentally by the life of another, that you can’t imagine who you would be if they weren’t in your life anymore? Well, that is Jinxy for my friend Aly.
She hasn’t just been a pet to Aly; she has been a confidante, pillar of support, and friend throughout the hardest years of her life, starting around the age of 20. But, I should back up to give you a full view of who Aly is and the circumstances from which she comes.
My friend’s name is Aly, and she is 30 years old. She is disabled, neurodivergent, and queer; but more than that, she is a fighter. She was born into a severely dysfunctional family, in which she had to claw her way and attempt to attain the love of those who should have loved her implicitly. She was subject to emotional abuse, which has left her with scars that only a true, unconditional friend can protect and mend.
Despite all the hardship, she is still here, thanks to Jinxy. She has been an unflinching witness to all Aly had overcome, without question. She has been there for Aly when no one else was; she is Aly’s rock.
Now, Jinxy’s life is in danger, when Aly still needs her support in life. She was diagnosed with mammary neoplasia in early August of 2024, which carries a grim prognosis at best. Aly’s true friend, the closest being to her heart, is in dire need of medical care, which she can only hope to provide with your help. Aly was laid off from her job in July 2024, and she barely has the means to support herself, let alone the means to finance the rigorous and costly treatment Jinxy needs to overcome the cancer spreading in her chest. She cannot financially carry this burden alone. Jinxy is the light of Aly’s life; without her, Aly will be a shadow of her former self.
I plead with you to support Jinxy by helping Aly finance a rigorous chemotherapy regimen, which will cost $15,000 US, on the low end. With your support, we can help Jinxy live further into the twilight years of her life, unimpeded by the tumor in her chest. With your support, you can assure the future of a little chosen family that has overcome so much already. With your support, they can breathe again.
