Support Jinx's Recovery After Bike Accident and Surgery

Hello! My name is Jinx ;) I am a queer-nonbinary latin makeup artist. On Monday night, I was riding home from my serving job on a lime bike(e-bike) as I don’t currently have a car, but excited that the weather was nice enough to finally get back in a bike! I was going downhill presumably at around 25mph~ and ended up face first into a tree. No helmet. oops. don’t do that. I don’t remember what happened after that other than waking up an ambulance being told that I was in critical condition. Upon arrival to the hospital they did various tests and scans of my body and mind and concluded that my face on my left side was fractured, and it would require facial reconstruction surgery possibly requiring a surgical implant of a metal plate in my face so that my face could return back to a normal-ish point. I currently do not have insurance. I will have to be out of work for a while to recover, but I have rent due soon and no more savings in my account. I don’t come from the richest family so money like that isn’t all that easy for us to come by- also I am typing this on a phone that only has half of the screen working as it was damaged in the accident, so I will need that replaced at some point. Ultimately, regardless of everything I am so grateful to be alive, and well enough to be able to write this. It is truly a miracle. If there is one thing you take from this even if you are unable to donate let that be gratitude. Everyone has a situation in their life that they wish went another way, but please don’t let that stop you from acknowledging that you are alive at this very moment, and for that at the very least you can (I hope) feel a moment of gratitude. You never know just how life might change. I will be posting updates after my surgery tomorrow afternoon/evening. Thank you to everyone for reading this.
