Thank you for contributing to Jim's final expenses
Donation protected
Update: Our dear friend Jim passed away from multiple heart and liver issues today, May 23rd at 11:05 am. Your donations were so appreciated by him. They will be used for his final expenses. He fought hard to survive this and had plans for the future. Remember him always with love. His ashes will be at his favorite place....Cannon Beach Oregon. Thank you, Taimi & Bill Gorman
Please Help Jim! He's recovering from Open Heart surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bellingham, and it will take months to get back to normal.
He was just moved from the ICU to the Cardiac ward and we have no idea how long he will be there, and if they will let him eventually move back to his apartment with a caregiver, or if he will have to live at a nursing facility until he recovers.
At the moment, he has numerous tubes in him and he is unable to answer phone calls or texts, as his phone was lost in the hospital. He may be reached by calling Peace Health St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham.
My husband Bill & I have been friends with Jim since college in the 1970's and he has rented our downstairs apartment in Bellingham for several years after being mugged and beaten in downtown, where he nearly lost an eye and his ocular bones and ankle broken.
He's on Social Security, but his monthly payments are minimal and he can't currently work. He and Bill had regular work for friends who needed decorating advice, painting, flooring, woodworking and fencing. He loves that work and was very busy.
Jim had been a gifted cellist for most of his life, but shoulder pain put an end to his career. His health insurance is good, but when he's unable to work, he can't keep up with even his basic expenses.
The nurses have him up and walking twice a day, but often he is still in bed. His expenses are piling up. It is difficult to say how much he may end up owing with medical bills, caregiver costs, or past due bills until we know more.
We are asking that if you love Jim as much as we do, please contribute to help him catch up with debts when he is healthy again. He has many Facebook friends, but lots of people don't communicate with him that way and might not know about this situation. If you know someone who should hear about this, please forward it to them.
Thank you for your consideration, and I know he will thank you in person when he is well again.
Best wishes,
Taimi and Bill Gorman.
