Hello, my name is John Blankenship. I am raising funds for my brother-in-law, Jimmy Blalock. Jimmy has had issues with his eyes since birth. He was born with cataracts in both eyes. He has had many medical procedures on his eyes since he was a child.

Jimmy's eyes have worsened over the past couple of years. Most recently procedures have been performed on his cornea in one eye. This procedure has not helped and during this time he had the retina in this eye detach. Jimmy underwent a medical procedure this week to try to reattach the retina. This was not successful as there is too much scare tissue in the way to allow the retina to be seen to be reattached.

Jimmy is only able to see bright lights in this eye. So basically he has lost sight altogether in this eye. His other eye remains very blurred.

This news has been overwhelming to him.

Jimmy has tried to work several jobs, but his eyesight has always prevented him to continue at these places of employment. He is considered legally blind and is able to get a very small amount of financial assistance (disability).

With the cost of medical bills, hospital visits, hotel stays, etc, this has put a huge financial burden on him.

Please consider making a donation to assist Jimmy. This would be a great blessing to him. He is not asking for help, but this is very needed. Hopefully it will help with some of the burdens he is carrying. Also, please pray for him.
