Support Jimmy's Cancer Battle and Recovery Journey

My brother Jimmy was unexpectedly diagnosed with oral cancer. This comes as a surprise to the family as Jimmy is an avid cyclist, runner, and one who stays very active. Jimmy has never smoked in his life or used any type of tobacco. He has always been a role model to us and great example of what it is to be physically fit. This all changed in September 2024 when he started experiencing some pain in his jaw, he made an appointment with the dentist. From there, the biopsy results came back that he has oral cancer. Due to the severity of the cancer, he couldn’t wait too long to have surgery. His first procedure consisted of removing all of his bottom teeth in order to get access to his lower jaw. On November 11th 2024, he underwent the first of two surgeries. This surgery was intensive as it involved cutting into his jaw to remove the tumor and removing bone from his calf in order to reconstruct his jaw. Jimmy was in ICU for a week before undergoing the next surgery. The second surgery was a skin graft to cover where bone was removed from his leg. Jimmy spent 12 days in the hospital and has a long recovery ahead which includes physical therapy, speech therapy, etc. Jimmy also has to do radiation 5 days a week for six weeks. It will be about six months before he’s able to get dentures.

Jimmy recently received his medical bill for all his procedures which is over $340,000. After insurance pays their portion, Jimmy will be left with over $50,000 in medical bills. I am starting this go fund me page with the intent of helping Jimmy with the medical bills he has already received and any additional expenses he might incur.

Jimmy has always been there for me and my special needs son, Travis in so many ways and I want to help him during this challenging time. Any help from the community, family and friends would be extremely grateful.
