Support Jimmy's Battle and Recovery from Multiple Myeloma

My brother has worked construction all of his life. Last year as he was finishing up a job he got to the point where he could barely walk. It took every bit of energy he had to just move across the room. He got so bad that he took himself to the ER only to find out his hemoglobin was so low had he waited just a few more days he wouldn't have made it in. After weeks of infusions and ending right back where he started, they did a bone marrow biopsy and discovered he has a blood cancer called multiple myeloma.

Because of the treatments, he's been out of work for almost a year. They have wiped out all of the cancer from his blood and will soon schedule him for a stem cell transplant. It will tale months for him to recover and the first 4-6 weeks he will have to move to lodging near the hospital and have 24 hour care.

He was told a lot of things up front regarding financial help that just have not turned out they way he understood. He thought his savings would see him through but they won't so we're asking for help.

His lodging alone will cost nearly $5000 plus he will have to continue his rent for his actual home and then living expenses while he recovers. Not to mention cobra dues and all the co-pays he has to pay.

To know my brother is to love him and we certainly don't want to lose him or have his health be hindered due to stress over how he's going to pay for it all.
