Help My Brother Jimmy Robar Fight Leukemia

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

My name is Loretta and I am reaching out to you with a heartfelt plea to support my youngest brother, Jimmy Robar, in his courageous battle against leukemia.

Jimmy always has a smile on his face and is known for his cheesy jokes and infectious humor that light up any room. Jimmy finds his bliss on his motorcycle, often riding along to the iconic tunes of the Grateful Dead, which perfectly capture his free-spirited nature. He is a proud member of AA, where he has found a community that is a huge source of joy and positivity in his life. He is a beloved husband, brother, and friend who has touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering spirit.

Jimmy was first diagnosed with leukemia in 2023. Since then, he has undergone numerous treatments, including platelet and blood transfusions, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy. Most recently, he spent another month in the hospital in preperation for a stem cell transplant from me. I was a perfect match to be his donor, so I flew from Oregon to New York to begin a week of injections and then a 7-hour procedure to extract my stem cells. Jimmy received the donation the following day.

Though he is home now, due to his compromised immune system, he has to be very careful about getting sick or even a simple cut, making everyday activities incredibly challenging, not to mention all these procedures have left him feeling very weak. Right now he is responding well to the stem cell donation, but it is a slow process and there is a long road ahead of him.

The cost of Jimmy’s medical treatment is immense. In addition to the medical bills, there are also everyday living expenses that need to be covered. Jimmy is currently unable to work due to the intensity of his treatment, and the financial burden is taking a toll. Your generous contributions will help cover:

Medical Bills: Including hospital stays, treatments, medications, and specialist visits.

General Living Expenses: Such as mortgage, utilities, car insurance, groceries, etc.
