Eagle Scout Project “From Servite to Service”

My name is Jaime Orona (Jimmy). I am a former student of Our Lady of Guadalupe School in La Habra, where I attended from 1st – 7th grade. During COVID, the school was closed, and I transferred to St. Angela Merici School in Brea, where I graduated from 8th grade in 2021. I am currently attending Servite High School as a senior. I have also been a dedicated altar server at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in La Habra, where I have served for several years. My origins at the church are longstanding, having been a member of the parish community since I was born. I am a 17-year-old Boy Scout working toward my Eagle Scout rank. I started out as a Cub Scout when I was 6 years old and became a Boy Scout in the 5th grade when I was 10 years old. I have learned so many practical skills and had so many great experiences in Scouting. I have made many friends and learned many life skills that will stay with me for the rest of my life. As part of this journey, I am leading a project to honor the alumni of Servite High School who have gone on to become priests.

This project will consist of a memorial plaque at Servite featuring their names and photos, along with a TV screen that will display their images and information. It is my way of recognizing their dedication and service while also inspiring current and future students. It has also been a longstanding idea that's been pitched but never fully realized, and I aim to do this to add to the culture of the school as a Catholic and faith-filled community.

To bring this project to life, I am seeking financial support from generous individuals and organizations to help me reach my goal of $2,800. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help cover the costs of materials, the TV display, the plaque engravements, etc. Your support would mean a great deal to me and to the Servite community.
