Support Jimmy & Nicole's Fight Against Cancer

THIS NEW GOFUNDME REPLACES THE ORIGINAL PAGE
My name is Stephanie, and I have started this GoFundMe for my best friends, Jimmy & Nicole Eason. Jimmy was diagnosed last year with Stage IV Metastatic Colon Cancer and given 1-3 years. The past year has been extremely difficult on the family, especially financially, as they try to navigate this horrible disease and treatment. On top of cancer, Jimmy also suffers from Long Covid, which subsequently led to him no longer being able to work. Nicole also had to leave her job to help care for Jimmy and drive him to all his appointments. They have had to move in with Nicole's dad in Montana and also sell Jimmy's truck due to the financial strain. In September, the company Jimmy was working for let him go without notice, which in turn lost their medical insurance. Jimmy was not working at the time but was fighting to get disability in order to save his job. So, on top of medical bills, they also have attorney fees. They have had to switch insurances 4-5 times in the past eight months. Every switch leads to a new, high deductible. In order to receive chemo, they must drive 2.5-3 hours, depending on weather. This adds cost of gas, food, and hotel, along with wear and tear on the one car they have. Right now, their bills are totaling close to $25,000, but that number will only grow. There is no money coming in, so the bills are going unpaid and the burden of them piling up only adds to the stress they are going through.

There is a little light at the end of the tunnel as Jimmy is in early remission. He still receives chemo and scans, and right now this is to be indefinitely. I know that if we could all chip in a little, we could make this even easier for Jimmy to focus on getting well and not have to worry about the bills stacking up. Once they can get on top of the bills and cancer, they can then focus on Jimmy's Long Covid so he can receive treatment for it. This would likely be needed overseas where the research and treatment are way ahead of what is being done in the U.S.

If you've stuck with me this long through the story, I'd like to please ask you to help my best friend of 46 years, Nicole, and her amazing husband, Jimmy. No amount is too small. If you are unable to give, please send all your prayers because they definitely need them.
