A band of brothers for Jimmy Cooke's Battle Against Cancer

This kind of news is never easy to share. Our beloved friend, and amazing human being Jimmy Cooke is battling a devastating, metastatic cancer. Unable to work, Jimmy and his wife Sarah are now struggling to make ends meet.

Jimmy is the kind of man who makes us proud to be his friend, his brother, his bandmate. Although we can’t cure his cancer, we can love him and support him. In this situation, all we can do is make sure Jimmy has what he needs to be comfortable, lessen his pain and make his life, however long, more gentle, and filled with kindness and special, perhaps even happy moments.

Cancer is a thief and brings pain, devastation and loss. We can only hope to restore some small element of peace by taking away Jim’s concerns for Sarah, his worries about the groceries, the electric bill and keeping a roof over their heads.

Our hopes for Jimmy is that the people who love him, will help provide what is physically and financially needed. Our prayers for Jimmy is that his ballad can be written with a more painless, beautiful final verse and leave us singing a joyful refrain about our friend Jimmy and the love we shared in the key of life.
