Jim has been struggling with a spinal injury for quite a while. The complications started with gradual loss of function in his hand, and will progress from there without surgical intervention. Unless he gets this surgery, he could end up in a wheelchair. 

His neurologist recommended surgery as soon as possible. He has everything scheduled and in place, but the hospital just informed him that he must provide his co-pay and out-of-pocket prior to the procedure, or they will cancel it indefinitely. Even with insurance coverage, he will still be responsible for covering nearly $5k himself, less than a week before the procedure is meant to take place.

The procedure is scheduled for next week, and he is in immediate need of assistance! All funds collected will go toward helping Jim with this out-of-pocket expenses, so that he can keep his surgery date and finally get to healing and recovering.
