Hi, my name is Jim Winslow. I never thought I would need to be here asking this. I am facing triple bypass open heart surgery in mid-April 2026. I have been in preparation for a couple of months now, as my blood glucose A1c was elevated past what the surgeon would consider a safe level to operate.

A heart catheter dye test showed I have five blockages on three pulmonary arteries. My cardiologist believes I’ve had this for years. I concur, as I have had this nagging back pain for more than 20 years. Every time I hit the gym, I could only go so far before the back pain set in. I learned that it was actually chest pain that is referred to the back.

The funds raised will go to keep me in my house while convalescing for a few months to regain my mobility and endurance, and rejoin the workforce.
