I am Sarah the daughter of Jim Pickett. Jim is a beloved Husband, Dad to 5, and Papaw to 8. We love him so very much. In October of 2022 Jim was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma after 2 seizures 4 days apart. He underwent brain surgery to remove the tumor, 30 sessions of radiation, a year of chemo, and follow up with IV infusions until April 2024 when he lost his insurance. Jim has had routine MRIs that have all had phenomenal reports until this past Sept. The Sept MRI showed something concerning and in October he had a seizure. On Nov 5th Jim had another routine MRI and received the results on Nov 7th. Those results were completely devastating. Our beloved Papaw has 2 new tumors that were not present in the Sept MRI. Jim is now being recommended to restart radiation as well as additional treatment.

I am looking for financial support to help ease the burden of these treatments for my parents. In April 2024 Jim was kicked off tenncare due to making too much money on disability despite his treatments costing more than he receives in disability. Additionally, he is unable to work part time as a RN due to not being to drive and having mobility issues due to the new tumors.
