My name is Jim Pazos & I love animals. I have a 15-year-old pound rescue who has trouble walking around (I also have a cat too). I assist her on her walks & I think she will manage being this way for the next couple of years. Lately, I have been talking with a lot of other pet owners & heard from a few where their dog had lots of trouble walking & even talked to 2 different owners that had their dogs put to sleep because they couldn’t get around anymore & they couldn’t help because they were fragile themselves. It got me thinking & looking into dog wheelchairs. Getting a dog wheelchair can cost from $50 to $1000, depending on how generic the wheelchair can be & according to that individual dog's needs. There are people who love their dogs but the dogs are too old or injured to walk normally & people that are too broke or physically unable to care for these special need dogs. These wheelchairs will make it to where some of these people will be able to continue on owning & loving their pet until it dies from natural causes.
I’m trying to raise money to help these dogs & owners that are in the most need. I have already had discussions with Eddie's Wheels For Pets out of Shelburne Falls, MA. They are a small company that builds custom wheelchairs for dogs. They were recently aired on a nationwide CBS morning segment. I have been speaking with Elizabeth if anyone wants to check.
The money I hope to raise should be enough for anywhere between 7 - 50 dogs, depending on these dogs' needs. I will prioritize based on the dog & the owner's situation. Please support this endeavor
Remember, dog spelled backwards is God.
