Support Jim Nolen & his fearless fight

This is our Uncle Jimmy, who has spent the last few weeks fighting for his life. Today, he will be disconnected from life support, leaving his family with beautiful memories of his life...and the astronomical medical bills associated with life saving efforts that were unsuccessful. On behalf of our cousins Autumn, Samantha, Brooklin and James, we humbly ask for your help in easing the financial burden for Jim's family. It is our hope that we can honor our uncle by allowing his family to mourn this enormous loss without worry or distraction.

Thank you for your support, your prayers & your kindness. Below are more details on Jim's fight.

Jim's Fearless Fight:

Jim was admitted to Sutter Roseville Medical Center on March 21, 2021. For many months, he had been struggling to catch his breath and was being treated for pneumonia. By the time that he showed up at Sutter, he didn't know that soon he would be fighting for his life.

He spent 5 weeks in and out of intensive care due to the deterioration of his lung capacity. By week 5 it was determined that one lung had zero percent capacity and the second lung had 30% capacity. Doctors said his only hope for survival was a lung transplant.

After petitioning programs at UCSF and Stanford Hospital, Jim was accepted as a candidate for Stanford's transplant program.

On Friday, April 30th, Stanford Hospital sent their transport team to Sutter Roseville to begin Jim's transplant journey. We were so optimistic as they set off to Stanford to begin testing.

During the transport, Jim suffered a heart attack. We are grateful for the amazing work of the transport team. Unfortunately, the impact was too great and Jim never regained consciousness.

For the past 2 weeks, his family has been by his side, hoping and praying. The Stanford team has been incredible and has done everything they could to keep our hopes alive. We are so appreciative.

All of this leads us to today. The medical team at Stanford, dedicated to saving lives, will now disconnect the lifesaving devices connected to Jim. We will pray for a miracle and will continue to hold his family in our hearts and our prayers.

Please note: GoFundMe gives the option to add a "tip" to your donation to cover transaction fees, but the default is much higher than the fee. Should you wish to cover the fees associated with your donation, please consider a tip of 3%.
