Hello Friends and Venturans,

As some of you may know, and others may not, my dad was in a serious car accident. We got the call on August 20th. Thankfully, my brother-in-law was driving by at the time and recognized "Nicoll Insurance" on the doors. He was able to contact us for immediate support. We were so happy to get the call from him and not the other route. My dad, Jim Nicoll, aka Big Jim, aka Nicoll Insurance, was rushed to VCMC. Scary to say the least, but he was in good hands.

He was then transported to St. John's to their surgical specialists. Surgery went well, but unfortunately, we then discovered other setbacks.

It has been a very long recovery at St. John's, and there is still a long way to go. We are happy to say that with family support and my amazing mom, we were able to recently bring him home.

Now the long road starts.

I know my dad is very well known within our community, and I truly appreciate hearing his and your stories throughout the years. He often tells me about the Chamber events, Real-estate Caravans, and Caregivers, etc.

We gently ask for support at this time for what is needed for recovery. Every little bit is appreciated, even if all you can do is a prayer.

I am so grateful to everyone who has reached out, offered help, sent cards of encouragement, and even kept him in your prayers. We appreciate you all!!!
